Creating art with a sense of whimsy and cheerful paint-box colors is a source of great joy for me. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband Dave, 2 cats, and a room full of really great art supplies!
During my career I worked extensively in the field of ceramic arts through 2006, selling my porcelain jewelry, home decor and giftware through galleries and shows. More recently, I have designed jewelry, notecards, fabric, and gift items which I have sold alongside my original watercolor paintings in galleries, gift shops, and online shops. Most of my designs are available for licensing. My current focus is on illustration, and I am accepting commissions for editorial and children’s book projects, including book covers, spot illustration, and activity books. I was delighted to be featured in the Fall 2023 issue of WHAT WOMEN CREATE magazine after winning first place in their Design-A-Bag Contest. My artwork appears on their promotional tote bag. The article describes my journey designing pet shrines, which eventually led to the winning design!
